Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 10: The fifth edition of Nutrify Today's C-Suite Sumflex concluded at Trident Oberoi in Mumbai on 5th June, cementing its position as the nutraceutical industry's most influential leadership gathering, a forum increasingly described by delegates as "The Davos of Nutraceuticals." Over two days (4th & 5th June), more than 150 C-suite leaders from global pharma, regulation, venture capital, and ingredient science and technology converged on a single question: How can India and the world move responsible nutrition from promise to proven, investible scale?
What began a few years ago as a single-room dialogue for Indian stakeholders has matured into a global decision-making platform. This year's roster read like a who's who of the health economy and brought the entire value chain into one room, from boardroom to bill of materials.
A stage built for the world
Participation spanned global pharma majors including Novo Nordisk, MSD, Mankind Pharma, Torrent Pharma, Dr Reddy's-Nestle Health Science, Reckitt, and Sanofi; regulatory and policy voices from FSSAI, the FDA Maharashtra, the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance, and OPPI; investors such as Fire Side Ventures and Peak Bridge VC; and ingredient innovators including Arjuna Natural, Greenspace Herbs, and Zeon Lifesciences. Leaders from the United States, the Middle East, and Uzbekistan gave the proceedings a distinctly cross-border texture.
The agenda matched the calibre of the room. High-impact sessions ranged from a GLP-1 fireside on obesity and metabolic control to a hard-hitting panel on counterfeit nutrition, "Fake Nutrition: Anatomy of a Crime," to dedicated tracks on women-led wellness brands and AI-powered commercialization, with the latter showcased through live demonstrations of Nutrify Today's own generative AI stack.
A high-powered cast of hosts anchored the summit's stage: Amy Summers, Founder & President of Pitch Publicity® and INICIVOX®; actor and wellness expert Mandira Bedi; NutraIngredients' Danielle Masterson; and Nutrify Today's Medhavi Srivastava, who together steered sessions across both days with the energy and polish of a world-class platform.
A first: The Master Formulator Show
Among the most talked-about moments was The Master Formulator Show, a marquee format introduced for the very first time and sponsored by Greenspace Herbs. The session put formulation science center-stage, spotlighting the scientists who turn India's botanical wealth into globally competitive, evidence-backed products.
"The Master Formulator Show put the scientist back at the centre of the industry, where they belong. Formulation is where credibility is either earned or lost, and backing a first-of-its-kind format like this was an easy decision for us. India's botanical edge will only become global brands if we celebrate the people who can turn a plant into a proven product."
-- Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin, Managing Director, Greenspace Herbs
The pioneer's view
For Amit Srivastava, who pioneered the Sumflex platform, the fifth edition validated a long-held conviction: that the industry needed not another conference, but a table where science, capital, regulation, and the market make decisions together.
"When we started, the Indian nutraceutical industry didn't have a room of its own. Five editions later, it has a global one. Sumflex was never meant to be just an event; it was meant to be the table where science, capital, regulation, and the market sit together and decide. If Davos is where the world's economy meets, this is fast becoming where the world's nutrition economy chooses to meet."
-- Amit Srivastava, Founder & Chief Catalyst, Nutrify Today
GLP-1 therapies are reshaping the global conversation around obesity, metabolic health, and chronic disease management. As healthcare evolves, nutrition is becoming an essential partner in improving patient outcomes, supporting adherence, and enabling long-term health transformation. I am pleased to see Nutrify Today C-Suite Sumflex bringing together leaders from pharma, nutrition science, industry, and policy to address these critical intersections and advance a more integrated approach to preventive and metabolic healthcare."
-- Vikrant Shrotriya, Managing Director, Novo Nordisk India
From Mumbai to a global corridor
The Mumbai edition also closed the loop on Sumflex's wider global ambition. It follows the launch of Nutrify Today Eurasia Sumflex in Tashkent in May, which drew nearly 3,000 participants and positioned Uzbekistan as a strategic responsible-nutrition corridor into the CIS region.
"Uzbekistan sees responsible nutrition as a bridge, not a border. The corridor we opened in Tashkent and the dialogue here in Mumbai are two ends of the same ambition, an investment-ready, evidence-led health ecosystem connecting India, Eurasia, and the world."
-- H.E. Abdulla Azizov, Chairman of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, First Deputy Minister of Health, Ministry of Health, Republic of Uzbekistan
With Mumbai and Tashkent now anchoring a connected global calendar, and further international editions on the roadmap, Nutrify Today is building the connective tissue a maturing, ambitious industry needs. The shared belief in the room was unmistakable: India's nutraceutical sector has the ingredients, the intellect, and now the technology to lead the world.
