Moscow [Russia], September 17: The Ukrainian Air Force on Tuesday reported 22 Russian strikes in six locations overnight, with the south-eastern Zaporizhzhya region particularly hard hit.
The Ukrainian National Police said preliminary information showed that Russia's military carried out 10 strikes with a multiple rocket launcher in Zaporizhzhya. Two people were killed and 18 others injured, according to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The police initially reported one fatality and 13 injuries, including two children aged 4 and 17.
Military Governor Ivan Federov said 10 apartment blocks and 12 houses were damaged in the region.
In the southern region of Mykolaiv, a tractor driver was killed when a strike hit a farm, the region's military governor, Vitalii Kim, wrote on Telegram during the night.
After two drone strikes in the north-eastern region of Sumy, Governor Oleh Hryhorov reported partial power outages. According to civil defence authorities, fires broke out as a result of Russian attacks in the Kiev region and the Kharkiv region.
Not including the attack on Zaporizhzhya, the Ukrainian Air Force said Russia's military deployed 113 drones overnight, 89 of which were repelled. Russia has been bombarding Ukraine for more than three and a half years as part of its full-scale invasion.
