Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 5: TiE Mumbai, in partnership with FIS and AROH Foundation, has announced the launch of the Women Entrepreneurship Support Program, a free, six-month cohort-based initiative designed to support women entrepreneurs with the knowledge, networks, mentorship and opportunities needed to build, scale and accelerate their ventures.
With only 35 women entrepreneurs set to be selected for the cohort, the program aims to create a focused and high-impact learning environment where participants can gain practical insights, engage with experienced entrepreneurs and industry leaders, access the wider startup ecosystem and develop meaningful connections that can help unlock new avenues for growth.
Commenting on the initiative, Naveen Raju, Executive Director, TiE Mumbai, said, “Women entrepreneurs bring immense creativity, resilience and ambition to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, but access to the right networks, mentorship and growth opportunities can often determine how far a venture can go. Through the Women Entrepreneurship Support Program, our aim is to bridge that gap by creating a platform where women founders can learn from experienced leaders, connect with investors and peers, explore market opportunities and gain the confidence to scale. We are delighted to partner with FIS and AROH Foundation on this initiative and look forward to building a strong cohort of women entrepreneurs who can create businesses, jobs and lasting impact.”
Dr. Neelam Gupta, President & CEO, AROH Foundation added “Over the past three years, our Women Entrepreneurship Support Programme (WESP), supported by FIS Global, has grown into a meaningful platform for women who aspire to become entrepreneurs and build sustainable livelihoods. More than 800 women entrepreneurs have been trained, mentored and empowered through the programme. Their journeys have reinforced our belief that when women are given the right combination of opportunity, knowledge, confidence and mentorship, they can transform aspirations into enterprises and enterprises into sustainable livelihoods.
As we begin a new chapter this financial year, our collaboration with TiE Mumbai - the globally recognised network that connects entrepreneurs with mentors, investors, business leaders and a wider entrepreneurial ecosystem - brings a valuable new dimension to this journey. TiE Mumbai’s strong culture of mentorship, networking and entrepreneurship will help us create greater pathways for women to access knowledge, markets, partnerships and opportunities for growth. Our ambition is to move beyond training. It is to help women build resilient businesses, create employment and emerge as confident leaders within their families and communities. For us, entrepreneurship is not merely about creating businesses; it is about creating choices, dignity and economic independence. Every woman who builds an enterprise has the potential to create opportunities for many others.
We are excited about this new chapter with TiE Mumbai and look forward to taking the spirit of WESP to many more women, enabling them to become not just participants in economic growth, but its creators.”
The initiative has been designed to go beyond conventional learning by combining expert mentorship, hands-on masterclasses, ecosystem access and real-world exposure. Selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced founders and industry experts, while gaining insights into the challenges and opportunities involved in building and scaling a business.
As part of the six-month program, participants will receive expert mentorship from experienced founders and industry leaders, along with masterclasses and practical learning sessions focused on strengthening their entrepreneurial capabilities. The program will also facilitate opportunities to connect with investors and key stakeholders within the startup ecosystem, enabling participants to explore potential funding and growth pathways.
An important component of the initiative will be market linkages and partnership opportunities, helping women entrepreneurs build relationships that could translate into new customers, collaborations and business opportunities. Participants will also gain access to the TiE Mumbai founder network, providing them with a community of entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders beyond the duration of the program.
The program will culminate in Demo Day opportunities, giving participating entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their ventures and connect with relevant stakeholders. In addition, selected participants will benefit from visits to leading investor firms and unicorn startups, providing first-hand exposure to successful businesses, investment ecosystems and real-world entrepreneurial journeys.
As an added benefit, all selected participants will receive a complimentary one-year TiE Mumbai membership, giving them continued access to TiE Mumbai’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and community.
The Women Entrepreneurship Support Program is completely free of cost, making it accessible to women entrepreneurs looking to take their ventures to the next level.
