Hanoi [Vietnam], August 22: Three years after 'The Face Vietnam', Huỳnh Tú Anh not only made her mark domestically but also became the first Vietnamese model to participate in a Chanel fashion show.
Huynh Tu Anh attracted attention when she appeared on stage at the press conference announcing The Face Vietnam 2026. Three years after emerging from this competition with the title of champion, the 10X model has made significant strides in her career. Not only has she appeared in domestic fashion events, but she has also become the first Vietnamese model to walk in a Chanel show. For Huynh Tu Anh, it has been a persistent and proud journey.
Huynh Tu Anh, a student of Anh Thu, shared that returning to The Face Vietnam 2026 brought her many special emotions. She recalled that three years ago, she appeared as a contestant, feeling both apprehensive and uncertain. This milestone also opened up many opportunities, allowing Huynh Tu Anh not only to pursue her career in Vietnam but also to gain experience on international runways - something she had never imagined before.
"For me, this appearance is like returning to my beloved home with gratitude and pride. The Face gave me a beautiful starting point, and the years that followed were a journey of striving to be worthy of everyone's choice," she shared.
How has Huynh Tu Anh changed after 3 years?
Speaking further about the changes after the show, Huynh Tu Anh said that previously, she thought she had many ambitions but didn't truly understand the core elements for success in the profession. After the show, she learned discipline, patience, and the ability to accept failure.
"There were times when I had high expectations for castings but wasn't selected. There were periods when I was abroad, going to multiple auditions in one day, but in the end, the result was zero. I had to learn to prepare well and start over," the 10X model shared.
That period of time helped Tú Anh become calmer, more self-aware, and less stressed about having to prove herself to everyone. "The journey to the wider world has brought about significant changes in me. For example, my English communication skills have improved, I've met many people, and listened to many interesting stories. I've become more resilient in the face of challenges. I understand the fierce competition in the industry and appreciate every opportunity in my work," she confided.
According to Huynh Tu Anh, the international environment has honed her skills and helped her mature professionally. "I learned to work more professionally, be more punctual, and take better care of my body, image, and mental well-being. Most importantly, I learned not to let a single rejection make me doubt my own worth. And after those rejections, I started getting opportunities to work with brands that I had only dared to look at on screen before; that feeling is very special," the model shared.
Huynh Tu Anh shared that when she ventured internationally, the biggest challenge was stepping out of the position she had built in Vietnam and accepting the challenge of starting from scratch. According to the 1.78m tall model, the international market is highly competitive, with multiple models of different backgrounds, nationalities, and advantages participating in each casting call. "Besides professional skills, there are many other things: language, finances, independence in a foreign country, constant travel, maintaining health, and the psychological pressure of being rejected multiple times," she shared.
