Hanoi [Vietnam], October 7: Among the contestants of 'The Love Storyteller 2026', Phuong Tien attracted attention with her shift from acting to trying her hand at singing.
Phuong Tien was born in 2002 in Long An (now Tay Ninh). She impressed with her beautiful looks and height of 1.7m, having won the runner-up title in a beauty contest in 2019. The 24-year-old beauty studied at the University of Theatre and Film and has been involved in acting for six years. Recently, her attempt at acting in " The Storyteller of Love" surprised many viewers.
Phuong Tien talks about the reason she switched to singing.
Sharing her thoughts on this career change, Phuong Tien admitted that registering to participate in a music competition was both an opportunity and a challenge. "I'm also very happy that everyone trusted me and included me in the top 6 contestants. Before this, I was an actress and had never participated in singing or any program related to singing," the 10X beauty confided.
The choice to participate in "The Love Storyteller" also stemmed from curiosity and a desire to challenge herself. Phuong Tien had followed the program through previous seasons and was particularly attracted by how the show combined music with acting to tell stories on stage.
"As an actress, I'm very confident in my acting on stage. But when it comes to singing, which isn't my area of expertise because I've never been a singer before, I'm really nervous and feel a lot of pressure," the female contestant confided.
After "The Love Storyteller ," Phuong Tien didn't close the door on music. On the contrary, the actress hopes to continue pursuing both paths if given the opportunity. "I still want to be a versatile artist," Phuong Tien expressed.
With her voice typical of someone from Tay Ninh province, learning to sing not only enhances her artistic abilities but also directly supports her acting career. A future role might require her to sing, perform, or showcase various other skills, and what she learns from music will become an advantage.
To prepare for her new journey, Phuong Tien also proactively took additional vocal lessons. The actress believes that talent is the starting point, but effort is what determines how far a person can go.
Phượng Tien's artistic journey began with a simple encouragement from her family. Once a shy girl who didn't dare dream of entering the arts, her parents' advice spurred her to try. Looking back on that journey, the young beauty believes that her family's support has been one of the biggest motivations for her perseverance in the profession.
From an actress trying her hand at singing for the first time, Phuong Tien is gradually expanding her own boundaries on " The Storyteller of Love ." With a spirit of daring to try, daring to overcome weaknesses, and constantly learning, she hopes her new journey will bring a unique color to the show's stage.
