Hanoi [Vietnam], November 7: By choosing to develop her career in Vietnam, Rayeon demonstrates her seriousness about her musical products, especially her pronunciation skills.
Following her debut with the song "Labyrinth" (a collaboration with Cong Duong), Rayeon - a former Kpop idol who gained attention on the dating show "Paradise Island" - marks her return to music with a new song titled " Goodbye. " While her previous project challenged her with powerful choreography and a sharp image, this time, the beautiful singer presents a more feminine and gentle appearance.
"Goodbye" is a gentle pop-ballad song, perfectly suited to the singer's emotionally rich voice. Not only does it demonstrate her investment in her artistic work, but Rayeon also proves her progress through her Vietnamese pronunciation, hoping to convey the spirit of the song to the audience.
The script for "Goodbye" was conceived by Rayeon herself and brought to life with the production team. When the affection in their love gradually fades and the other person becomes indifferent, the woman doesn't choose a dramatic or tearful ending. Instead, she chooses to spend one perfect and beautiful date with her loved one before quietly saying goodbye.
Rayeon shared that the film is not simply a farewell to a past era, but also a way to let go of hurt and learn to love oneself. The entire setting was filmed in Ho Chi Minh City, where familiar streets and cafes are depicted through a romantic cinematic lens, yet filled with many emotions.
Rayeon's transformation
Looking back at her previous debut product, Rayeon frankly admitted that she had encountered many obstacles in terms of pronunciation, and even wanted to re-record the entire song because she felt it wasn't quite perfect. For "Goodbye ," the singer didn't put pressure on herself to immediately reach the top or compete.
She stated frankly, "I am a foreigner who is just starting out in the Vietnamese music scene. Instead of rushing to achieve success, I want to humbly accumulate experience and improve step by step so that the audience can see my sincerity and progress through each stage."
